Chathumin Gunarathne is a Partner in Sustainability and Emerging Assurance Services at Deloitte Sri Lanka. He serves as the Alternate Chair of the Sustainability Disclosure Standards Committee at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka). 

Chathumin has contributed to the implementation and assurance of IFRS S1 and S2 for several listed and multinational companies across diverse sectors in Sri Lanka. He has also been involved in assurance for green bond and social bond issuances, including Sri Lanka’s first social bond, supporting the growth of sustainable finance in the region. 

He was the founding Secretary of the Integrated Reporting Council of Sri Lanka and has led several initiatives under CA Sri Lanka to promote non-financial reporting. 

A frequent speaker at business forums, Chathumin is recognized for his expertise in sustainability and non-financial reporting. 

He currently serves on several committees at CA Sri Lanka, including the Sri Lanka Accounting Standards Implementation and Interpretation Committee and the Annual Report Awards Committee. 

With over a decade of experience conducting awareness sessions both locally and internationally—including in Nepal, Maldives, and Thailand—Chathumin continues to contribute to the advancement of financial and non-financial reporting across the region.
