Mohamed Anas is a seasoned public finance professional with a strong academic foundation, holding a Master of Business Administration from The Maldives National University and a First-Class Honours degree in Accounting from the University of Hertfordshire. With over a decade of experience across key government and corporate roles, he has been serving as President of the Privatization & Corporatization Board and Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Finance, where he led debt management initiatives. His career spans leadership in audit, academia, and strategic financial planning, including the debut issuance of the Maldives’ sovereign bond and development of national debt strategies. Anas is fluent in English and Dhivehi and has participated in high-level international forums hosted by the World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
