Mr. Yaseen Hussain is the Chief Public Accountant at the Ministry of Finance and Planning, where he leads financial reporting, drives the modernization of public financial systems, and ensures compliance with international standards. Beginning his career at the Ministry, he played a pivotal role in implementing SAP across government agencies and later contributed to system enhancements, integrations, and capacity-building initiatives as a Financial Accounting & Controlling Consultant. His ongoing efforts focus on modernizing financial processes and reinforcing compliance frameworks to enhance efficiency in public financial management.
In addition to his public sector leadership, Mr. Yaseen brings valuable experience from the private sector, where he held senior finance roles and led initiatives in financial restructuring, operational efficiency, and system implementation.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Villa College (awarded by the University of the West of England) and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). His professional training includes expertise in IPSAS, IFRS, SAP public sector modules, and public financial regulation.
