Happy Anniversary!
It has been one year since the enactment of the Chartered Accountant’s Act, establishing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives.
With the many challenges faced during the past year, the Institute is proud to have the support and commitment of our Council Members, Committee Members and the Management team to achieve and accomplish set out objectives and goals.

Message by the President
It gives me immense pleasure in joining our members and other stakeholders in celebrating the first anniversary of Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives. On this joyous occasion, on behalf of the Council of the Institute, it is my honour to extend my sincere felicitations, to our members, members of our Committees, our dedicated staff, everyone else working in the accounting profession, and to numerous stakeholders to whom we as accountants provide our professional services.
The ratification of the Maldives Chartered Accountants Act and the establishment of Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) on 8th September 2020 was a historical achievement in the development of the accounting profession in the Maldives.
On behalf of our members, I express my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and his administration for submitting the Maldives Chartered Accountants Bill to Parliament. I would also like to thank distinguished Members of the 19th Parliament, with noteworthy appreciation of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament.
Despite the fact that CA Maldives was formed in the midst of an unprecedented global pandemic which posed to us seemingly insurmountable challenges , we take great pride in the immense progress we have made during the year. We attribute our success to the dedication, concerted efforts and collective contribution of our Past President and former Auditor General Mr. Hassan Ziyath, members of our Council and members of committees, partner institutions and well-wishers.
As we continue to progress towards transforming the accounting profession in the Maldives, we remain extremely excited about maintaining the current trajectory towards development.
I wish our Chartered Accountants’ family a happy 1st Anniversary! May Allah guide us all and grant us success in our efforts to make CA Maldives a leading professional accountancy organization in the region and beyond!
