Delegation of CA Maldives met Senior Management and Directors of various departments of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during the official trip to New Delhi, India.
During the meeting, discussions were held on further collaboration between the two institutes
Auditor General and President of CA Maldives, Mr. Hussain Niyazy, Vice President of CA Maldives, Mr. Hassan Mohamed and Council Member of CA Maldives, Mr. Mohamed Haleem, along with delegation from CA Maldives met with the President of the The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Mr. CA. (Dr.) Debashis Mitra and the Council Members on 8th March 2022 to discuss the areas of collaboration between the two institutes.
Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) discussed a way forward to collaborate to share resources and expertise to develop the accounting profession. As such, dialogues were held to sign an MoU between the two institutes to further strengthen the development of accounting profession in the Maldives.
With over 340 thousand members and over 700 thousand students, ICAI is the second-largest accounting body in the world. ICAI is also globally recognized for maintaining the highest technical and ethical standards and sustaining a stringent examination with the highest education standards.
Auditor General and President of CA Maldives, along with the delegation of CA Maldives, met with the Chief Operating Officer of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mr, Kaushlendra Sinha and the senior officials to discuss areas of collaboration on 08th March 2023.
Auditor General and President of CA Maldives, Vice President of CA Maldives, Mr. Hassan Mohamed, met with the President of NIRC of ICAI – CMA, MA P. Raju Iyer and senior officials to discuss the areas of collaboration between the two institutes.
Further, discussions were held on ways of increasing the awareness of the importance of cost management in the Maldives and training opportunities.
