CA Maldives held a productive meeting with the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) at Villa Nautica, marking an important step toward strengthening international cooperation in accounting standard‑setting.

The AASB delegation was led by its Chair, Dr. Keith Kendall, accompanied by senior officials. CA Maldives was represented by President Mr. Mohamed Haleem, Vice President Mr. Ali Faris, and members of the CA Council.

Discussions centered on initiating a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and identifying avenues for future collaboration aimed at supporting the growth of CA Maldives and advancing the accounting profession in the Maldives.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen engagement and foster long‑term partnership between the two institutions.
