Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives is excited to announce that the Maldives Accountants Forum (MAF) 2021 is scheduled to be held in October 2021. All our stakeholders will be notified of the date and venue for the event later.
The Maldives Accountants Forum (MAF) is intended to be a platform for discussion of challenges and opportunities that exist within the accountancy profession and exchange of views and ideas. The MAF is also meant to hear from regulators and the business community who would share invaluable knowledge and insights to assist accountants in their quest to be agile, future-relevant and ready to embrace the digital world. As the only major event of its kind in the Maldives, the MAF is expected to be an annual congregation of professional accountants, regulators and the business community where they will discuss issues of common interest that would help key players in the profession to align their work with the needs the of the industry stakeholders in a more effective manner. As a result of discussions and exchange of ideas at the forum, accountants are expected to become aware of the various capacity development opportunities available for them. The MAF is also meant to create a greater understanding and a stronger bond among all concerned.
MAF was previously hosted by the Auditor General’s Office and was held during the years 2017, 2018 and 2019. The MAF 2020 was cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19 Pandemic and the MAF 2021 will be the first forum organized by CA Maldives.
