The Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) organized a training on the topic “Documentation for IFRS-based Audits” conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Mustafa Uğur Akdoğan. The training was held on 25th August 2021 at Auditor General’s Office (1st floor), Ghaazee Building.

Dr. Mustafa Uğur Akdoğan, visited Maldives to take part of a project being implemented at the Auditor General’s Office. He is specialized in the area of statutory and international accounting standards and international tax regulations together with the areas of mergers and acquisitions, double taxation treaties and auditing of the various business lines. His experience includes auditing, tax consultations, international tax structuring and the due diligence services rendered to several PE houses and multinational strategic investors with regards to their transactions in various industries. So far, he supported more than 1,200 companies and he led international consulting teams for more than 300 M&A transactions including IPOs from all over the world.

The training was free for all CA Maldives members and  accumulated 2 units of verifiable CPD hours.

More than 30 participants attended for the session including special invitees and participants nominated by CA Maldives Licenced Auditors and Audit firms.

CA Maldives invited Auditor General’s Office, Maldives Inland Revenue Authority and Privatization and Corporatization Board of Finance Ministry to nominate participants for the training as well.
