Mr. Ahmed Samih is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a Chartered Internal Auditor (UK and Ireland). He’s a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives. Mr. Samih has over 10 years of experience in accountancy and auditing. Currently, Mr. Samih works as a Director handling Financial, Compliance & IT Audit at the Auditor General’s Office. He served in Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives as a Committee Member for 3 years in the Admission & Licensing Committee. Over a ten-year career, he has carried out external audits of public institutions, donor-funded projects, IT audits and local councils.
Bunyaameen MohamedVice Chairperson
Mr. Bunyaameen Mohamed serves as Manager, International Tax Audit at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA). He joined the Tax Administration in 2015. With over eight years of extensive experience in the field of taxation, Mr. Bunyaameen has developed a robust expertise in international tax matters. He is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (FCA). He served as a member of the Admissions and Licensing Committee during the interim council’s tenure as a non-practicing member of the Institute. Currently, he continues to serve on the committee as a representative from the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority.
Nuha AliMember
Ms. Nuha Ali works as an Audit Manager of Large Taxpayer Audit at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA), with over six years of experience in the field of taxation. In addition to her pivotal role at MIRA, Ms. Nuha has enriched her professional journey by imparting her knowledge as a part-time ACCA lecturer for two and a half years. Ms. Nuha is a Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (FCA).

Ms. Maasha Nizam holds the position of Manager within the Financial and Compliance Audit Department at the Auditor General’s Office. With a wealth of over 6 years of experience in external auditing within the same office, she brings extensive expertise to her role. Prior to embarking on her higher education journey, she served as an Assistant Officer at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority. Ms. Maasha Nizam is a distinguished member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives.
Mohamed Shifaz MoosaMember
Mr. Mohamed Shifaz Moosa is a Manager of Data Analytics and Information Systems Audit at the Auditor General’s Office of Maldives, with over eight years of diverse audit experience. His expertise spans performance audits, information systems audits, compliance audits, financial audits, and internal audits. Throughout his career, he has contributed to enhancing audit methodologies and improving audit processes. Previously, he provided internal audit services in Western Australia, gaining valuable insights into international audit practices. Mr. Shifaz is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (FCA) and a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), underscoring his commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
Afzal HassanMember
Mr. Afzal Hassan is the Financial and Compliance Audit Manager at the Auditor General’s Office. He has been with AGO for more than seven years and have gained extensive experience in public-sector auditing. Mr. Afzal is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives.
Aishath AbdullaMember
Ms. Aishath Abdulla is a highly qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in internal auditing. She currently serves as the General Manager of Internal Audit at Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL). She has nearly 12 years of experience in auditing, accounting, and finance. In addition to her role at IASL, she is the Vice Chairperson of the State Internal Audit Committee (SIAC) at the Ministry of Finance. Ms. Aishath also contributes to academia as a part-time lecturer at Villa College and MAPS College. She is a Fellow Member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CAM). Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BAF) and certification from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
