Ms. Siew Kar Wai is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS). She currently spearheads the Capital Market and Accounting Advisory Services practice at PwC Malaysia, where she offers specialized technical consultation on financial reporting matters, including those related to capital market transactions, to both the firm’s assurance practice and its clients.

In addition to her consulting role, Ms. Kar Wai involves in the design and delivery of training courses on various IFRS and MFRS topics. She also plays a pivotal role in developing publications and practice aids across a wide array of accounting subjects and conducts comprehensive quality reviews of clients’ financial statements.

Ms. Kar Wai’s career includes a two-year secondment to PwC Hong Kong and a subsequent one-year secondment to the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB), where she served as the Project Director for Convergence Activities. She is actively involved in various working groups and technical committees under the MASB, the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). Additionally, she is a frequent speaker at seminars and outreach meetings focused on MFRS topics.
