Mr. Rajith Perera is a Partner attached to Financial Accounting Advisory Services Division, counting over 10 years’ experience in the Ernst & Young Colombo office. His experience spans areas such as, IFRS/IAS consultancy, and has led IFRS/SLFRS projects in many large entities in Sri Lanka and the region. Mr. Rajith acts in the capacity of chairman to the Financial Reporting Standards Implementation and Interpretation Committee of CA Sri Lanka since January 2024. He is an IFRS Accredited Trainer of Ernst & Young Sri Lanka and a resource person for the Central Bank Training Centre, Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka, and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Sri Lanka. Mr. Rajith carries extensive working experience of IFRS 9 implementation & validation projects with all State and private sector commercial banks in Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives. He was also seconded to EY Singapore to Financial Accounting Advisory Services-FSO, where he was leading IFRS 9 Engagements to leading multinational Banks, finance companies and Insurance companies.
