Admission and Licencing Committee

Mr. Ahmed Salih is the Director of Research and Development at the Auditor General’s Office.

He has the filled the roles of Director of State-owned Enterprises Audit as well as the Director of Technical Services and Director of Performance Audit at the Auditor General’s Office. Mr. Salih is a lecturer at Maldives National University and also has experience as a lecturer at undergraduate, post graduate and professional accounting courses run by private colleges and the business school of the Maldivian National University. He has expertise in working as a facilitator for training programs run by the Capital Market Development Authority as well.

Mr. Salih is a Fellow Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA).

Ms. Hawwa Saaiga currently holds the position of Audit Manager, Financial Audit at Auditor General’s Office. She has over 7 years of external audit experience and 1 year of experience as an accountant.

Ms. Saaiga holds a Bachelors of Business (Hons) in Accounting.

Ms. Hawwa Jannath works as Financial and Compliance Audit Manager at the Auditor General’s Office. She joined the Auditor General’s office in 2013.

Ms. Jannath started her career as an Accounts Officer at the Upper North Utilities Limited in 2011. She is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and also a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives.

Mr. Ahmed Samih is the Financial and Compliance Audit Department Director at the Auditor General’s Office.
Mr. Samih has 7 years of external audit experience at the Auditor General’s Office. Further, at the initial stage of administering the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives), Mr. Samih fulfilled the role of Senior Executive, Administration and Finance of CA Maldives.
Mr. Samih holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University.

Mr. Mohamed Shan is the Director, Financial Institutions and Information Systems Audit Department at the Auditor General’s Office.

Mr. Shan has been working for AGO for more than 14 years. He has extensive experience in public sector auditing.

Mr. Shan holds Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance with Honors.

Ms. Nafa Waheed has over 10 years experience in tax audit and currently the Deputy Director of Large Taxpayer Audit at Maldives Inland Revenue Authority.

Ms. Nafa is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Mr. Bunyaameen Mohamed works as Deputy Manager, International Tax Audit at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA). He joined the Tax administration in 2015.

Mr. Bunyaameen has an extensive work experience of more than 6 years in the field of Taxation.

Mr. Bunyaameen is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and also an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (ACA)

Mr. Moosa Haleem served as a member of the Admission and Licencing Committee from 6th October 2021 to 10th November 2021.

Mr. Moosa Haleem was the Director General of Medium Taxpayer Audit Department at Maldives Inland Revenue Authority.

Mr. Moosa Haleem is a Chartered Certified Accountant.

Mr. Ibrahim Naeem served as a member of the Admissions and Licensing Committee from 6th October 2020 to 16th August 2022. Mr. Ibrahim Naeem was the Director of Public Sector Audits at the Auditor General’s Office.

He has extensive experience in the public sector auditing and has worked more than 20 years in the field. Apart from being a member of Admission and Licensing Committee at CA Maldives, Mr. Ibrahim Naeem is also a member of the state procurement policy board at the Auditor General’s Office and a Member of State Procurement Policy Board.

Mr. Ibrahim Naeem holds MSc in Financial Investments.
