Rukshan is a Partner in Deloitte’s Control Assurance practice in Sri Lanka, with  over 20 years of experience in practice, local and overseas, during which he led risk advisory and IT controls assurance projects to clients in the Middle East, South Africa, Botswana, Maldives, Indonesia, Malaysia and Kenya.

Rukshan’s specialisation is in the financial services industry working  in the space of IT controls assurance, data analytics, IT governance, cybersecurity and quantitative risk modelling.

He has led many large engagements in the financial services industry in Sri Lanka such as end-to-end review of the data migration controls for the largest savings bank in Sri Lanka, post-implementation review of the core banking system of one the leading commercial banks in Sri Lanka and cybersecurity maturity assessment for the largest retail bank in Sri Lanka, to name a few.

Rukshan also leads cyber risk quantification (CRQ) service in which he assists clients to measure cyber risks in currency units for capital adequacy assessments as well as to measure the return on security investments.
