The inaugural Maldives Tax Forum (MTF) 2025, jointly hosted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) and the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA), convened leading voices in tax policy and practice at Meerumaa Hall for a full-day strategic dialogue.The event was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honourable Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, who underscored the vital role of reliability and integrity in shaping the future of the accounting and taxation profession in the Maldives.

Held under the theme “Shaping a Smarter Tax Future Together”, the forum marked a significant milestone in the nation’s digital transformation journey. It provided a pioneering platform to examine how global tax standards and innovations can be adapted to the Maldivian context. Key discussions focused on automating compliance, navigating transfer pricing complexities, and assessing the impact of international tax reforms.

MTF 2025 brought together business leaders, regulators, and subject-matter experts to address the evolving tax landscape and foster collaborative approaches to future-ready fiscal governance.
