Sampath Jayawardena is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of expertise in Assurance, Strategy and Transactions, and Climate Change and Sustainability Services at Ernst & Young. He is an Associate Member of several prestigious accounting bodies, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom (ACCA-UK), and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the United Kingdom (ACMA-UK). Additionally, he holds the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACMA).

Sampath is an active contributor to the field, serving as a member of the EY Global Subject Matter Group on IFRS S1 and IFRS S2, as well as the EY Asia-Pacific Region Subject Matter Group on ISSB Standards. These Subject Matter Groups (SMGs) provide a global platform for members to exchange insights regarding ISSB Standards and assist in addressing application challenges faced by engagement teams worldwide.
