Supun is a part of BDO Sri Lanka team, and he has 06 years of experience in the field of statutory audits and IFRS advisory. As an Associate Director, he handles a diversified portfolio of clients including finance, manufacturing, leisure, education and service industries including both private and public sector engagements. He also services as the director in charge for BDO Maldivian Operations and serves as the Director in charge for technical training function of BDO Sri Lanka. Supun is currently heading the ESG and Sustainability Services function of BDO Sri Lanka and engaged in SLFRS S1 and S2 implementation and sustainability assurance related engagements for listed clients.

He also served as a senior auditor for BDO Saudi Arabia – Riyadh office under a short-term secondment assignment in 2024. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Sri Lanka (ICASL) and he has won the President’s Award for the most outstanding new member of ICASL in 2024. He also posses a first-class degree in BSc Accounting from University of Sri Jayewardenepura – Sri Lanka. He has been a resource person for both local and international CA conferences including the 2nd International CA Students Conference held in Katmandu, Nepal in 2023 and CA Maldives Auditors’ Forum in 2025.

He is currently reading for the Master of Science in Waste Management and Circular Economy degree program; pending final dissertation, at University of Sri Jayewardenepura in affiliation with the South-eastern University of Norway and his research interests lead towards Sustainability Accounting, Environmental Management and Social Accounting. He has been a prize winner for Financial Reporting in CA Sri Lanka, and he continues as a registered tutor for both ICASL and ACCA examinations.
