Malinda is a Partner at Deloitte Sri Lanka. He possesses over 20 years of post-qualification experience of which nearly 17 years is with Big-4 Professional Services firms. He has over 10 years of overseas experience working in the United States, Cayman Islands and Southern Africa.  

Malinda is a Fellow Member of CA Sri Lanka and an Associate Member of CIMA UK. He is also a Fellow member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management. 

Malinda currently holds several firm wide roles at Deloitte Sri Lanka which include, being the Business leader for Assurance services, Industry leader for Financial Services and IFRS Leader. He’s a Member of the Deloitte south Asia’s Assurance Executive Committee (ExCo). 

He is currently the Alternate Chairman of the Auditing Standards Committee of CA Sri Lanka, and also acts as a member of the Accounting Standard Committee and Accounting Standard Implementation and Interpretation Committee of CA Sri Lanka.  

Malinda has acted as an independent, non-executive director and the audit committee chair or a leading non-banking financial service sector organization. During his tenure at the board, he also acted as member of the Board’s integrated risk Management Committee (BRIMC), Corporate Governance Committee, Related Party Transactions Review Committee and IT Committee.  

He has also been a resource person for a number of training programs on International Financial Reporting Standards conducted locally and overseas.
