With over 20 years of experience in corporate governance, financial regulation, and leadership, Visam has been instrumental in shaping regulatory frameworks and the capital market in the Maldives. She previously held the position of Registrar of Companies and served as a board member of the Capital Market Development Authority from 2014 to 2025, where she also chaired its Technical Committee. Prior to this, she was a board member of the Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) from 2009 to 2014. In 2022, she was a member ofthe Executive Committee of the Corporate Registers Forum. Beyond her professional contributions, Visam serves as the President of the Rotary Club of Malé, where she leads initiatives focused on community development.
