Ms. Fathimath Farihath Waheed joined SME Digital as Operations Director on 16 September 2025. She also serves as an Executive Director on the Board.

Farihath brings more than 20 years of banking experience. At Bank of Maldives, she held several senior leadership roles, including Head of Card Networks & Strategic Partnerships and Head of Strategy & Change. She also took on interim responsibility for the Legal Affairs & Documentation Department.

She has a strong track record in strategic planning, governance, operational transformation and building institutional partnerships. She has led initiatives in operational excellence, digitalization and customer-focused innovation, all of which have contributed significantly to institutional growth.

Farihath holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Monash University and a Bachelor’s degree from Edith Cowan University, with a double major in Management and Marketing. She is a Chartered Banker, accredited by the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers in Malaysia. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Leadership & People Management from SMU Academy, Singapore Management University.
