Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldies (CA Maldives) has announced further expansion of its international affiliations with another prominent international accountancy organization, the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA), following the CAPA Board’s approval of CA Maldives’ membership application in September 2026.

CAPA is the regional organisation recognised by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) for the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together 29 professional accountancy organisations across 21 jurisdictions. Its membership includes prominent organisations from Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Japan, South Korea and Canada among others.

This new membership further strengthens our international presence and connects the Maldives accountancy profession with the wider global professional community.

CA Maldives is already a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the global organization for the accountancy profession, whose membership comprises more than 188 professional accountancy organizations across over 143 jurisdictions worldwide.

CA Maldives is also a member of the Asian-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group (AOSSG) and the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), in addition to maintaining numerous MoUs and collaborative partnerships with professional accountancy organizations around the world.

These international affiliations reflect CA Maldives’ continued commitment to strengthening international collaboration, expanding global connections, and advancing the accountancy profession in the Maldives.
